TAKE ACTION

All artwork on ThinkAbout.Art is sized to 8.5 × 11 inches – perfect for home printing. We chose this size so it’s easy and accessible for everyone.

That said you must use a laser printer if you plan to apply glue or wheat paste.

Inkjet printers + glue = ruined art. The ink will smudge or dissolve.

All stickers are sized 3×3 inches – either squares or circles.

You’ve got two options to print them:

DIY: Buy your own sticker paper, print at home, and cut them out.

Use a printing company: We recommend Get Up Stickers for the best prices. Sticker Mule is also a solid option.

  1. Go out to post with a group of 3 or more people after dark.

  2. Check the area first to ensure you are alone.

  3. Be quick. Even large-scale wheat-pasted art can be put up in under 3 minutes if you are coordinated. Watch some videos on how to do this before going out.

  4. Start small. Try doing one or two 8.5 x 11 posters before you try to put up something larger.

  5. Carry pepper spray and have a good get away plan.

  6. Always pay attention to local laws. Seattle and Los Angeles are far different from Dallas and Atlanta - know your risk.

Some safety tips

How to put posters up

Wheat paste is cheap and easy to make at home, but requires a bit more finesse to get right. Spray glue is becoming more popular for it’s ease of use, but if you go this route, remember to wear a mask.
